MedLife Ecuador: Sightseeing, Baños

On our last full day in Ecuador, and as we made out way back to Quito to fly out early the next morning, we stopped in the town of Baños for some sightseeing. As we rode towards to famous waterfalls, we saw incredible landscapes. I could only marvel at the incredible sights before us. Ecuador has amazing ecological diversity due to its varied altitude. What an experience to wake up in the rainforest (with monkeys playing by the hotel pool), drive up the Andes mountains and feel the cool shift in temperature, and witness the change in flora and fauna.
In Baños, we hiked up to see the waterfalls. There are no words to describe the beauty and power of the water crashing over the edge of the mountain crevice and into the river below. Just as impressive are the endless staircases and balconies that have been built into the mountainside. This is a magical, special place.

After the waterfalls, we visited the beautiful "Columpio al Fin del Mundo" and driving up the mountain, it really did feel that way! We were rewarded with breathtaking views, stunning flowers, and the most amazing swing.
