Day 8
We had an early start again this morning as we prepared to take the bullet train, or Shinkansen, from Kyoto to Tokyo. In Tokyo, we went for lunch and quick shopping at the Ginza neighborhood.
We then left to visit the Meiji Shrine. Meiji Shrine is a Shinto shrine in Shibuya, Tokyo, that is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken. The shrine is set in a gorgeous forest in the heart of the city. We even saw a couple Taking wedding photos!
We also visited Asakura, a temple site where there are also lots of street feed and many shops. Sensō-ji, is an ancient Buddhist temple located in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan. It is Tokyo's oldest temple, and one of its most significant.
It is famous for its distinctive red lantern. 🏮 At the temple, you can also get a fortune. If it's bad you tie to to rack and leave the bad fortune behind.
