Busan

Day 3 - Mar 25

Today we visited the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple in Busan. Its location on the sea provides spectacular views. The intricate temples and Buddha statues are truly breathtaking. Maybe it was the overcast sky, the waves crashing below, or the bamboo shoots waving in the wind, but the space felt imbued with a powerful but peaceful force.

After leaving the temple, we traveled to Dongbaekseom Island and the Nurimaru APEC House, walked along Haeundae Beach, explored the UN Memorial Cemetery and Peace Memorial Museum, and finally enjoyed a windy and wet cable car ride over Songdo Beach.

In between these activities, we ate lunch at Shinsegae Department store, which was fantastic! For dinner we ate traditional hot pot rice, and of course we had many snacks throughout the day!
